Charles Phily (32 yo) is a French media music composer, living in Paris.
 

He is best known for scoring the soundtracks of the video games Onirism - for which he received a nomination at the Ping Awards in 2019 - and Cygnus Enterprises - Team Miaozi, Netease Games, 2023.

He also worked on other assignments including La Corne des Sables d'Ivoire - written by french youtuber Bob Lennon - trailers and programmed orchestrations for several metal albums, not to mention background music for television.

BIO

Gifted with a strong sense of rhythm from an early age, Charles studied the drums - his favorite instrument - at the conservatoire from the age of 6. He also took the opportunity to study the piano a few years later.

He played in his first rock band at the age of 13, and switched to extreme drums in 2011, playing in 3 different metal bands until 2019. He has over 200 concerts to his name.
As a keen teacher, Charles gave private drum lessons for over 5 years and created his own Youtube channel, which now has over 2,200 subscribers. It initially was dedicated to the world of drums, but switched its topic in 2023 to share his personal music productions.

With a passion for cinema, Charles studied sound engineering and music production at the ISTS school (ESRA group, Paris), where he discovered the world of film music, sound design and post-synchronisation.

In 2017, he became a member and stockholder of the Crimson Tales company as a composer and sound designer. Consequently, he scored the music of the video game Onirism - and other projects as well - but still to this day, he keeps in mind his obsession with working for major movies one day.

Produced on his own, Charles’ music is characterised by strong melody, dense orchestrations and pronounced rhythm, where any musical genres can be performed.
